Poor shooting doomed the Wisconsin Badger women’s basketball team, as they dropped an 82-49 decision to 16th ranked Penn State at the Kohl Center.
The Badgers shot just 33% from the field for the game, including a season-low 2 for 18 (11.1%) from three-point range. Penn State shot 52% from the floor and 36% beyond the arc.
More than half of Penn State’s Points (42) were from in the paint, including 19 fast break points. The Badgers committed 24 turnovers.
The loss drops the Badgers to 0-2 (4-10 overall) in the Big Ten Conference. Penn State improved to 1-1 in league play (11-3 overall).
