The Wisconsin women’s basketball team held off a late rally by Minnesota and beat the Gophers last night 78-72 in Minneapolis.

Anya Covington scored 19 points to lead the Badgers (7-13, 3-5 Big Ten).  Taylor Wurtz and Morgan Paige added 18 points each.

It marks the first time this season that new coach Bobbie Kelsey has won back-to-back games.

Wisconsin shot 50% from the field (30 of 60) and 50% from distance (9 of 18).
