Illinois opened a 12-point halftime lead, outscoring the Wisconsin Badgers to a 31-19 in the first half and went on to beat the Badgers 70-62 at the Kohl Center on Sunday. 

Janese Banks and Jolene Anderson each scored 18-points to lead all scorers for the Badgers.  Anderson became the 13th player in UW-history to score at least 1,000 points and pull down 500 rebounds. 

The Badgers hit 16 of 19 free throws (84%), but Illinois was even better, 25 of 29 (86%) for the game.  The Badgers fell to 2-3 in the Big Ten with the loss, 13-5 overall.
