The Wisconsin women’s golf team will play in the NCAA regionals for a second straight season.
Three regional tournaments with 24 teams at each site will be conducted May 8-10 to determine the final 24 team championships field. The Badgers are the 16th seed in the West Regional, played at Tumble Creek Club at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington. The University of Washington will serve as host.
Eight teams and two qualifiers will advance from each regional.
Last season at the University of Oklahoma, the 20th-seeded Badgers finished seventh and got the final Central Regional berth to the NCAA championship. It was just the second NCAA championship appearance in program history. Including 2014, the Badgers have competed in an NCAA regional six times. Their best finish was sixth in 2003.
The Badgers recently finished six at the Big Ten Championships.
The NCAA Championship finals will be held May 22-23 at the Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
