Wisconsin Badgers basketball coach Bo Ryan announced one addition to the men’s basketball team today when Sheboygan’s Sam Dekker signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Wisconsin.  Dekker will enroll at UW next year and play basketball for the Badgers beginning in the fall of 2012.

A 2012 McDonald’s All-American nominee, Sam Dekker heads into his senior season at Lutheran High School (Sheboygan, Wis.) as the No. 18-ranked player in the nation according to Rivals.com.

An AP second-team All-State pick as a junior, Dekker averaged 28.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4 assists last season.  The WBCA 2011 Division 5 Player of the year also earned first-team All-Central Lakeshore Conference and Sheboygan Press Player of the Year.
