The 12th ranked Wisconsin Badgers ran their record to 6-1, knocking off Florida State 81-66 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at the Kohl Center on Tuesday night.
Alando Tucker, who missed some time in the first half after getting hit in the eye, returned to score 22 points in the win. Guard Kammron Taylor added 18 points and Brian Butch added 13 including a tip-in at the buzzer to end the first half.
The Badgers came back in the second half to shoot 57% from the field (15 for 26) and forced 21 Seminole turnovers.
Florida State dropped to 4-2 on the season and lost for the first time under coach Leonard Hamilton in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge (4-1).
Wisconsin is one of two Big Ten teams to win their challenge game out of five played last night. Northwestern also beat Miami 61-59. The three Big Ten teams on the losing end last night included Illinois with their 72-66 loss to Maryland. The Illini saw their 51 game home court win streak come to an end. Penn State fell to Georgia Tech 77-73 and Duke beat Indiana 54-51.
