The game was a rematch from last November when Wisconsin came from nine-points down in the second half to knock off the Hoyas 68-65 in the semifinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.
The Badgers climbed to within 2-points on a couple of occasions in the second half, but the Hoyas made 20 of 24 free throws in the second half to stay in front.
Junior forward Nigel Hayes scored a season high 22 points, but junior guard Bronson Koenig, who was averaging a team-high 19 points, was held to nine points on two-of-12 shooting.
The Badgers fell to 2-2 and will face V-C-U in the consolation game on Sunday. Virginia Commonwealth fell to Duke 79-71 in the other semifinal.
