with the seconds ticking down, Wisconsin Badger forward Ryan Evans scooped up the rebound. Evans dribbled to the 3-point line, turned and fired and watched the ball strike the backboard and go through. On the court, the signal was 3-pointer basket made, pending a review of course. But as it turned out, Evans didn’t get the shot off in time and the Badgers fell to the Michigan State Spartans 63-60 in overtime.

The win for the Spartans is their first at the Kohl Center against Bo Ryan. That’s a time period that covers 8-games.
The Badgers dropped their second straight Big Ten game, but the problem is, the Badgers (12-4, 1-2 Big Ten) have dropped both at home at the Kohl Center. It’s the first time the Badgers have dropped back-to-back Big Ten games since the 08-09 season.
The Badgers shooting woes continued. They hit just 33% from the field and 20% from beyond the arc.
Jordan Taylor scored a game high 28 points for the Badgers. Draymond Green had 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead Michigan State.
On television replays, there was a discrepancy between the clock on the top of the backboard and the arena clock. By rule, the officials have to go by the backboard clock, which is the clock that clearly showed Evans didn’t get rid of the ball in time.
The Badgers now hit the road for their next two Big Ten games, starting with a trip to Ann Arbor to face Michigan on Sunday.
