Ohio State has been picked to win the 2014 Big Ten football championship.  That according to a vote of 29 Big Ten Conference sportswriters who participated in a poll compiled by Cleveland.com and the Plain Dealer.

The Wisconsin Badgers were picked to win the West Division title, edging Iowa.

Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon finished second in he voting for the Offensive Player of the Year award, behind Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller.

Michigan State defensive end Shilique Calhoun was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year by the panel of sportswriters.
