University of Wisconsin senior wideout Luke Swan (pictured) is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a major hamstring injury late in the first half of the Badgers 31-26 loss at Illinois. Swan will need surgery.
The Badgers have now lost both of their starters, Swan and fellow senior Paul Hubbard who went down in week 2 at UNLV.
It means Wisconsin will enter Saturday's Big Ten game at Penn State with a pair of freshman receivers starting, Kyle Jefferson and David Gilreath.
Swan had 25 catches for 451 yards and two touchdowns, ranking him 2nd on the team.
