Wisconsin left tackle Joe Thomas won the Outland Trophy as the best lineman in college football. He's the first Wisconsin player to win the award in program history.
Thomas also was named to the Walker Camp Offensive All-American team.
Thomas also proposed to his girlfriend, former Badger women's basketball player Annie Nelson, all in the same night.
Thomas and his Badger teammates will take on Arkansas in the New Years Day Capitol One Bowl.
