The Wisconsin Badgers put together their best offensive performance and did it without their top running back John Clay. Clay missed the first game of his career after spraining his right knee in last Saturday’s win over Purdue, but the Badgers still put up 83 points against Indiana in a 83-20 win over the Hoosiers at Camp Randall Stadium.
Montee Ball ran for three touchdowns in his first career start, James White ran for two more and Scott Tolzien threw for three in the win.
The 5th ranked Badgers (9-1, 5-1) scored the most points by an FBS school this season and matched the highest scoring total by a team in a Big Ten Conference game since Ohio State’s 83-21 win over Iowa back in 1950. It’s the most points scored by a Badger team since a 85-0 win over Marquette back in 1915.

The Badgers were missing starting center Peter Konz, but the offensive line opened huge holes for their running backs anyway. Ball rushed for 167 yards and White came through with 144.
Indiana starting quarterback Ben Chappell left late in the first half an injury to his left knee and hip. The Hoosiers remained win-less (4-6, 0-6) in Big Ten play.
The Badgers play at Michigan next week.
