Jordan Taylor scored 22 points and Jon Leuer added 16 to lead the 24th ranked Wisconsin Badgers to a 68-60 win over 13th ranked Minnesota in their Big Ten opener at the Kohl Center. 

The Badgers were out-rebounded 42-24, but Jon Leuer’s only offensive rebound with under a half-minute to play turned out to be the big one, a rebound that helped the Badgers preserve the win.

The Badgers did plenty of good on this night, pulling off the slight upset.  They held the Gophers to 39% shooting and turned the ball over just 2 times all night.  The Badgers also made six more 3-point shots and hit 17 of their 18 free throws.

Leuer surpassed 1,000 career points in the first half and senior Tim Jarmusz had 12 points, including three 3-point baskets.

The Badgers (11-2) next play at Illinois on Sunday.
