It certainly wasn’t pretty, but the Wisconsin Badgers knocked off Penn State 60-51 to
win their Big 10 Opener at the Kohl Center.
Wisconsin’s season long shooting slump continued for much of the game. The Badgers shot 38% from the field, 17.6% from three-point range and 50% from the free throw line, yet still held off the Nittany Lions for their 10th win (10-4, 1-0) of the season.
Ryan Evans, Jared Berggren and Ben Brust all scored 13 points and Mike Bruesewitz added 12 for the Badgers.
Things tight with just under 3-minutes to go and the Badgers leading by 1 (50-49), but the Wisconsin then went on a 11-2 run to pull away for the win.
