Wisconsin’s August 30th football season opener against LSU will kickoff at
8pm and be televised by ESPN. The announcement was made yesterday.
Gary Andersen’s Badgers finished 9-4 and ranked 21st in the USA Today poll and 22nd in the Associated Press poll.
LSU finished 10-3 and ranked 14th in both national polls last season.
The two schools have only met twice previously, both LSU victories. The Tigers beat the Badgers 38-28 in Madison in 1971, and 27-7 the following year in Baton Rouge.
