Wisconsin is being seen by analysts as the most negative U.S. Senate contest in the country. Democratic candidate Tammy Baldwin blames the U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizen United ruling and subsequent rise of Super PAC’s pumping advertising money into states. She says these groups are looking to control Washington D.C. with their lobbyists and with senators that will support their agendas.

“It’s time for the people in the state to have a stronger voice and that would be my honor if I’m successful in this election,” says the Democratic Congresswoman.

The Federal Election Commission says outside groups have spent almost $46 million on the Wisconsin U.S. Senate race. That’s the second-highest special interest money among the senate contests, behind only Virginia. The Badger State is among 12 senate races around the country considered toss-ups tomorrow. Republicans need to gain four seats to take control of the chamber.

Baldwin faces former Republican Governor Tommy Thompson for the seat of vacating Democrat Herb Kohl.
