Nick Barnett Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett nearly was suspended one game by the National Football League ( NFL ) for his involvement in an off-the-field altercation in June of 2007.  But Barnett appealed the punishment and will instead be fined 1 weeks pay ($155,882) but will still be able to play the opening game against the Vikings.

Barnett was arrested outside an Appleton bar after a woman accused him of pushing her during an argument.  He was charged with two misdemeanors, but eventually reached a plea agreement that required him to remain on good behavior and pay a fine.
