A Packers hall of fame quarterback says he’s proud of how Aaron Rodgers has performed since he was drafted in 2005. Bart Starr says not only does he think Rodgers is a great quarterback but he thinks the team’s current signal caller is better than he was.
“He has a lot more physical talent that I did and I mean that. This man is something special,” said the two-time Super Bowl MVP.
Starr said Rodgers is one of the most poised, prepared, and confident players he’s ever seen. The NFL Hall of Famer believes the team is set up to make more deep runs in the playoffs and possibly bring home more Lombardi Trophies.
Although Starr was unable to attend the “Return to Titletown” celebration Tuesday, the fanfare reminds him of the appreciation people showed when his team returned victorious from Super Bowl I and II.
He made the comments Tuesday night, during a stop at Fox Valley Technical College.
