After going without a first round draft pick in 2013, the Milwaukee Brewers hold three picks in the first two rounds of Major League Baseball’s Amateur Draft which starts today.

The Brewers have the 12th overall pick in the first round, as well as the 41st selection in the Competitive Balance Round A.  They also hold the 51st overall pick in round two.  The first two rounds will be completed tonight.

The 2014 version of the draft is considered to be deep in pitching and the Brewers should have a shot at one of the young talents when they pick 12th overall.

The Brewers didn’t have a top pick in 2013, having to forfeit it for signing free-agent pitcher Kyle Lohse.
