In a close game in Las Vegas, the Wisconsin Badgers fell to UNLV 68-65 on Saturday night.
Chace Stanback scored 17 of his 25 points in the second half for the Rebels (3-0). UNLV led by 1-point with 6-seconds left when the Rebels Justin Hawkins stole an inbounds pass. He was fouled and made two free throws.
Wisconsin’s Jordan Taylor, who led the Badgers with 19 points, missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer that would have tied the game. The Badgers (2-1) also got 11 points from Ryan Evans and 10 points from Jon Leuer.
