The Chicago Bears have agreed to a one year contract with defensive end Austen Lane.

The 6’6 Lane, who went to high school at Iola-Scandinavia and played in college at Murray State.  He appeared in two games with the Detroit Lions last season after playing for Jacksonville from 2010 to 2012.

He’ll be reunited with defensive coordinator Mel Tucker, who was in charge of the Jaguars defense when Lane played there.  Lane was a fifth-round pick by the Jaguars and has 64 tackles and three sacks in his career.
