Wisconsin football coach Bret Bielema introduced his 2008 recruiting class in Madison on Wednesday.  It's filled with 24 scholarship players and 5 walkons.

The group also consists of three four-star players, according to Rivals.com.  Two of those three are the state's top recruits, offensive lineman Peter Konz of Neenah and defensive end Tyler Westphal of Menasha.

The other top name in the class is quarterback Curt Phillips out of Tennessee.  He's one of four players already enrolled at UW.  Fans are speculating on Phillips chances to push for playing time as a true freshman.  But Badger coach Bret Bielema is stressing patience.

What Phillips has going for him is the fact that no current Badger quarterback has started a single game.

Besides Konz and Westphal, four other state players are a part of the 2008 recruiting class.  Also signing letters of intent yesterday are P-K Brad Nortman of Brookfield Central, OL/DL Christopher Garner of Augusta, LB Mike Taylor of Ashwaubenon, WR/DB T.J. Williams from Kenosha Bradford and OL Kevin Zeitler of Wisconsin Lutheran.
