For the second time in his career, Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema has been named a finalist for the Bear Bryant Award, given annually to the nation’s top head coach.

Bielema was also a finalist back in 2006, his first season at the helm after leading the Badgers to a 12-1 record.

Wisconsin currently has the fourth-highest scoring team in the nation, averaging 43.3 points per game.

With the Rose Bowl game against TCU still to be played, the Wisconsin offense has already broken school records for rushing touchdowns in a season (46) and points in a season (520).  The Badgers are also in pace to break the mark for average yards per carry, total offense, points per game and passing completion percentage.

The winner will be announced on January 18th in Houston.
