It's the American Cancer Society's Cancer Action Network's Fight Back Express. ACS spokeswoman Allison Miller says it a big bus touring nationwide that is a "rolling petition." People can sign the bus or write stories of their experience with cancer.

The bus has been on the road since May 4th and eventually arrives in Washington DC as a message to lawmakers to fund cancer research, prevention and treatment.

"What was once a War on Cancer now looks more like a retreat." says the ACS in a press release.

The advocate says the federal government is the largest funding source of cancer research but for several years the funding has been stagnant or not kept up with inflation.

Although Miller applauds the steps taken by Wisconsin such as the recent cigarette tax hike, she says its time for the state to pass a smoking ban to protect "all workers from the dangers of secondhand smoke."

The ACS bus is in Fond Du Lac Friday and will be passing through several Wisconsin cities including Madison, Milwaukee and Hudson.
