The 4th ranked Wisconsin Badgers broke open a close game midway through the second half and went on to beat Penn State 71-58 in men's college basketball action Wednesday night.

Three pointers by Jason Bohannon and Michael Flowers and a couple of three-point plays from Alando Tucker helped the Badgers go from a 1-point lead to an 18-point lead.

Tucker had 24 points to lead the Badgers.  It leaves him 1-point shy of 2,000 for his career.  He'll become the 24th player in Big Ten history to score 2,000 points on Saturday when the Badgers host Iowa.

The Badgers shot 51% from the field overall to improve to 23-2 overall, 9-1 in the Big Ten.  Wisconsin is tied with Ohio State for the Big Ten Conference lead.
