Reports have surfaced this (Wednesday) morning that Green Bay Women’s Basketball Coach Matt Bollant will be leaving the program to take the head coaching job at Illinois.  A press conference is scheduled at the University for 11:00 AM to make the announcement official, though a name has not been announced.

Bollant just completed his 5th season in Green Bay leading the team to a 31-2 record and a trip to the 2nd round of the Women’s NCAA Tournament.  He leaves the program with an 148-19 record including an overwhelming 85-5 mark in Horizon League play.  Also, the program earned the schools first ever top-10 ranking and trip to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Women’s tournament under Bollant.

Bollant will take over an Illinois program that was 11-19 a season ago and has not played in the NCAA Tournament since 2003.
