Bond has been set at $2 million in the Stephanie Low homicide. Kristopher Torgerson appeared by video in Marathon County court for his initial appearance on charges which include first degree intentional homicide in

Torgerson, 34, is alleged to have killed Low during an attempted robbery at her Wausau apartment in April of 2010, and then bured her body in Forest County. Wausau police investigators say up to six other people provided information about Low’s death and the hiding of her remains, including one person who was located in California.

Torgerson, who last month agreed to show investigators the location of Low’s body near Wabeno, is currently serving five years in prison on unrelated charges at the maximum security prison in Boscobel. He will be back in court for a preliminary hearing November 25th.
