Ryan Braun clubbed his second career grand slam, leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a 15-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark. J.J. Hardy also hit a 3-run home run. Both long balls came off of Reds starter and loser Bronson Arroyo, who failed to record a single out in the second inning and left the game trailing 9-0.
Arroyo fell to 4-2, matching his shortest start of the right-hander's career.
The offensive outburst gave Brewers lefty Manny Parra his first win (1-4) of the season. Parra allowed 2 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings of work to secure the victory.
The Brewers have won four-straight and try to make it five when they close out the series against the Reds tonight. Braden Looper gets the start for the Brewers. He's 2-1, and the Brewers are 4-1 when he takes the mound. Micah Owings
(1-3) gets the start for the Reds.
