Confidential! Why is this hardly ever carried out? Somebody usually leaks something and the confidential process that is promised is gone. How does a test administrator issue a test to Braun on a Saturday, then decide to hold Braun’s urine sample in his refrigerator over the weekend and send it in on a Monday to the lab?
These are all issues we’ve heard and read about before. Maybe now that MLB has lost a case, they’ll take this process seriously and get their ship in order.
Baseball officials are reportedly fuming over the arbitrator’s decision. What they should be fuming about is the lack of confidentiality, as well as the lack of good judgement used by the administrator of the best.
Is Ryan Braun innocent? I know this, right now he’s not guilty and getting ready to start for the Brewers on opening day. That has Brewers’ fans breathing easier today. Replacing Braun for the first 50-games of the season would have been a nightmare.
