Wednesday night in Pittsburgh marked the third time in the last fourgames that the starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers surrendered double-digit runs.  The last time that happened feat was “accomplished” in Major League Baseball was when the St. Louis Browns did it in 1937.

Randy Wolf gave up 12-runs on 13-hits in 5  2/3 innings as the Pirates pounded Milwaukee 15-3 in Pittsburgh.  Wolf entered the game with quality starts in 5 of his last 7 games.  Things just didn’t go his way Wednesday:

Good news for the Brewers as Yovnai Gallardo is set to come off the disabled list tonight to start in the series finale.  Gallardo has been on the shelf for a couple of weeks with a mild oblique-strain.  He takes on Pittsburgh’s Ross Ohlendorf.  6:05 is the first pitch from PNC Park.
