The Milwaukee Brewers fell 6-0 to the Oakland A’s in Cactus League action in

Yovani Gallardo

Phoenix on Tuesday.

Starter Yovani Gallardo allowed just 1-hit and struck out 4 in two innings of work in his spring debut.  Gallardo certainly made a case for himself as the Brewers opening day starter.  Gallardo has been the teams opening day starter the last two seasons.

Offensively, the Brewers managed just two hits on the day.  They’ll face the Chicago White Sox today.

Brewers outfielder Corey Hart is expected to be back with the Brewers in a month.  Hart had successful arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee on Tuesday.  The original diagnosis was for Hart to return in 3 to 4 weeks.
