The Milwaukee Brewers are struggling to hit the ball and their bullpen has failed them for a second straight game. The end result is a 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Brewers got home runs from Prince Fielder and Johnny Estrada. Estrada's blast was a solo shot that tied the game at 3 in the top of the 9th. But the Phillies answered with a 2-out game winner off the bat of Carlos Ruiz in the bottom of the 9th.
The loss went to Derrick Turnbow for the second night in a row. It was Turnbow that surrendered the Ruiz homer.
Offensively, the Brewers had just 5-hits, two of them came from Tony Gwynn Jr., who raised his batting average to .417.
The Phillies have won 5 of their last 6, while the Brewers have dropped 4 of 5. Jeff Suppan pitches the 3rd game in the four-game series tonight.
