The Milwaukee Brewers 1982 team came one victory short of a World Series title when they lost in seven games to the St. Louis Cardinals.  But that team will forever be remembered by Brewers fans.

Despite losing the series, catcher Ted Simmons said the fans treated the players as if they had won it all.  The players were honored in a ceremony before last night's game, drawing a huge applause from the home town fans.

That season is the last time the Brewers made the post season.  This 2007 team, although they're struggling, is trying to duplicate that accomplishment.
