The Milwaukee Brewers sent the division leading Cincinnati Reds to their second straight defeat, 6-3 at Miller Park.

Yovani Gallardo pitched 7-innings to earn his 10th win of the season (10-8).  It’s the 4th straight year that Gallardo has reached double-digit wins. 

Martin Maldonado homered and drove in three runs for the Brewers.  Aramis Ramirez and Corey Hart also homered for the Brewers.

John Axford pitched in the 8th, then got the Reds 1-2-3 in the 9th fo rbis 18th save. 

The Brewers didn’t score until the 5th, breaking a string of 21-straight scoreless innings.  They eventually got to Reds starter and loser Bronson Arroyo for 5 runs on 10 hits.

The Reds lost back to back games for the first time since July 3-4 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
