After four straight losses to the Cincinnati Reds, the Milwaukee Brewers ended that drought with a 3-2 victory at Miller Park on Tuesday night.

Solo home runs by Prince Fielder, Ryan Braun and Rickie Weeks gave the Brewers all the offense they needed.

Spot starter Marco Estrada worked 7-solid innings to keep the Brewers in it.  Estrada didn’t get the decision, that went to Kameron Loe who pitched the 8th inning.  Estrada’s only blemish came in the 4th when he surrendered Brandon Phillips  2-run homer.

Closer John Axford worked a 1-2-3 9th for his 5th save of the season.  Axford said Marco Estrada was outstanding in the starting role.

With Zach Greinke set to return to the rotation soon, Estrada, despite pitching well, would appear to be the odd man out.  Will the Brewers keep in the bullpen?  Estrada said he’s like to think he’s convincing folks he belongs.
