Trailing 2-0 in the 5th, the Milwaukee Brewers scored 4-runs and added 7 more runs in the 6th and went on to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 12-2 at Miller Park. The Brewers have outscored the Cardinals 19-3 in the first two games of the series.
Ben Sheets, after struggling in his first five starts, regained some of his old form yesterday, working 6-innings for the win. He helped the Brewers improve to a Major League best 17-9.
J-J Hardy and Geoff Jenkins each collected four hits with Hardy equaling a career high. Jenkins and Tony Graffanino homered in the Brewers 17-hit win.
Braden Looper, who entered the game with a 1.91 ERA, suffered the loss.
