Brewer pitchers were wild today, combining to walk 11 in a 7-4 loss to the Chicago Cubs in Mesa. Starter Yovani Gallardo walked two, gave up one hit and struck out one in one inning. Seth McClung allowed four runs on three hits and three walks over 1 2/3 innings.
Mike Cameron and Mike Rivera homered, while J.J. Hardy collected a pair of doubles for the Brewers offensively.
The Brewers fall to 0-1-1 on the spring. They'll travel to Phoenix to play Oakland on Friday. Lefty Manny Parra, who just signed a one-year contract today, will make his first start of the exhibition season.
