Another anemic offensive performance led to the Brewers second straight loss to San Diego.  The Padres notched a 6-2 victory Tuesday night at Miller Park.

The Brewers matched Monday’s total with 4-hits in the latest loss.  Tyson Ross shut down Brewer bats tossing 6-innings of 2-hit baseball.  Milwaukee’s lone run off Ross was scored on a 3rd inning throwing error.  Khris Davis was able to connect on his first career home run in the 8th inning off San Diego reliever Colt Hynes.  In 5-games since the all-star Break, the Brewers are averaging under 3-runs per game.

Donovan Hand started the game for Milwaukee but had to be removed after the 4th inning.  In the 3rd, Hand was hit by a pitch in his throwing hand when trying to lay down a bunt.  X-rays were negative so the hope is he will be good to go for his next schedule start Sunday in Colorado.  Still, it was a scary moment for Hand…
