The Milwaukee Brewers seem to have things turned back around after stumbling into the all-star break and then losing a series at Washington coming out of the break.
Cincinnati came to town missing two of its top players, Joey Votto and Brandon Phillips and the Brewers took advantage. They held the Reds to six runs in three games, sweeping the Reds with a 5-1 win on Wednesday afternoon.
Kyle Lohse (11-4) worked 6 2/3 innings to earn his 11th win of the season.
First baseman Mark Reynolds came out from a nearly 2-month long slump and had three hits, including a pair of home runs to lead the offensive attack. In the month of July, Reynolds is hitting .091. Prior to his two home runs yesterday, Reynolds last left the yard back on June 2nd.

Reynolds clubbed a 2-run home run off of Reds starter Mike Leake in the six inning to make it a 4-1 game. He also went deep in the eighth off of reliever Jumbo Diaz.

Recently recalled reliever Jeremy Jeffress closed out the Reds with a 1-2-3 ninth. Jeffress induced three straight groundouts to close things out and capped the performance with a fast ball that reached 100 miles per hour.
The Brewers will send Matt Garza (6-7, 4.04) to the mound tonight when they open a 4-game series against the New York Mets. New York goes with Dillon Gee (4-2, 2.92).
