The Milwaukee Brewers returned to Miller Park and got their offense back in gear. Carlos Gomez led off the bottom of the first
with a long home run to center to get the ball rolling. Martin Maldonado and Jean Segura also hit long balls as the Brewers pulled out an
8-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The offensive outburst was welcomed after the Brewers struggled to score more than three runs in any of their previous five games, going 1-4 in the process.
Arizona came to Miller Park with the worst record in the Major Leagues, while the Brewers improved to 22-11, which continues to be the best record in baseball.
Matt Garza got off to a rough start but settled down to pitch 6-innings, allowing 3-runs and earned his second win (2-3) of the season.
