The Milwaukee Brewers offensive struggles continued in a 4-1 loss to the Texas

Rangers on Wednesday night at Miller Park.

Starter Kyle Lohse is no stranger to low offensive output.  Lohse worked 6 1/3 innings but was saddled with the loss, falling to 1-4.  Lohse gave up three runs in the first three innings, surrendering home runs to Ian Kinsler and Mitch Moreland.  In his 7-starts, the Brewers have managed to score just 14 runs.

Derek Holland earned the win, allowing 1-run on 10-hits over seven innings.

Carlos Gomez stayed hot for the Brewers.  He went 4 for 4 and extended his hitting streak to a career-best 14 games.  Gomez is hitting .491 with four homers and nine RBI’s over that span and finished the night with a .386 batting average, which continues to top the majors.

Aramis Ramirez collected three hits and has now hit safely in seven of the eight games he’s played.  Ramirez is hitting .407.

The Brewers are off today.  They’ll face the Reds in Cincinnati on Friday night.
