After jumping out to an early 6-1 lead, the Milwaukee Brewers (45-40) fell the Minnesota Twins (39-49) Sunday 9-7 at Target Field.
Brewers Starter Zack Grienke gave up 4-runs in 6-inning while striking-out 9 but did not factor into the decision. Minnesota took the lead for good when they scored 4-runs in the 7th inning. Kameron Loe gave up the go ahead score as his record now sits at 2-7 on the season.
Offensively, Croey Hart, Ricke Weeks and Mark Kotsay each had 2-hits Weeks (15) and Kotsay (1) had home runs.
Milwaukee sits tied with St. Louis on top of the NL Central entering the final week before the All-Star Break. The Brewers open a 7-game homestand today with the first of three against Arizona. Shawn Marcum takes on Dainel Hudson for a 3:10 first pitch.
