Ryan Braun clubbed a 2-run homer in the 1st inning and that’s all the Milwaukee Brewers would need in a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night.

Mike Fiers (1-0) allowed a run on 5-hits in seven innings, striking out three and walking nobody in his first major league start.  Fiers gave up his only run in the 6th when Andre Ethier doubled home Ivan De Jesus in the 6th.

Francisco Rodriguez pitched a perfect eighth and John Axford got three outs for his 9th save in 10 chances.

The Brewers improved to 3-2 on the road trip.  They can clinch a winning road trip with a win in one of the two final games of the series.
