The Milwaukee Brewers committed two costly miscue's on back to back bunt plays in the 8th inning and it cost them a 3-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers. Prince Fielder's solo home run in the 7th had given the Brewers a 1-0 lead, but the Brewers couldn't hold it. Matt Wise took over in the 8th and tried to throw out Brandon Inge but threw the ball away, allowing Inge to advance to second. Corey Koskie then threw away a ball bunted by Alexis Gomez, which allowed the tying run to score. Jose Capellan served up a 2-run double off the bat of Magglio Ordonez and the Tigers, the team with the best record in baseball, went on to the 3-1 win. Jeremy Bonderman gets his 7th win, allowing a run on 4-hits in 7-innings of work. Matt Wise takes the loss. The two teams play game two of the series tonight.
