The Milwaukee Brewers put up 4 runs in the first 5-innings of their game with the Twins yesterday.  Unfortunately, they failed to score in the next 10-innings in their 5-4, 15-inning loss in Minnesota on Sunday.

Denard Span’s 2-out, run-scoring single off Juan Perez in the 15th inning won it for the Twins.  The game took 4-hours and 50-minutes to play, including a 42-minute rain delay in the 12th.

It’s the 4th time on the road trip that the Brewers opponent has won the game in their final at bat.

The final Brewer runs came in the 5th on Corey Hart’s 3-run homer.  Rickie Weeks and Nyjer Morgan also had 3-hit days in the loss for the Brewers.

Zach Greinke couldn’t hold the 4-1 lead the Brewers gave him.  He ended up working 8-innings, allowing 4-runs on 11-hits.

The Brewers finished 2-4 on their 6-game trip.  They’ll return to Miller Park tonight and continue interleague play by hosting the Toronto Blue Jays.
