The Milwaukee Brewers didn’t figure to score too many runs heading into yesterday’s matchup against Francisco Liriano and the division leading Pittsburgh Pirates.

Liriano entered the game with a 15-6 record and a 2.57 earned run average.  But he served up seven runs and seven hits in just three innings as the Brewers went on to a 9-3 win over the Pirates.

Wily Peralta struggled at times as well, but when he needed a big pitch, he got it.  Peralta made it through six innings, allowing nine hits and three runs, earning his 10th victory (10-14) of the season.
