The Milwaukee Brewers open a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park tonight.

Both teams had the day off yesterday and both are riding three-game losing streaks.

The series starts with an outstanding pitching matchup.  Kyle Lohse (9-2, 3.08) once again shoots for his 10th win of the season.  He’ll face Cincinnati’s 10-game winner Alfredo Simon (10-3, 2.81).

The Reds had swept San Francisco in a four-game series but turned around and dropped three straight to struggling San Diego.

Cincinnati is led by their pitching staff.  They’re also getting outstanding play from centerfielder Billy Hamilton, who was named the NL rookie of the month for June, hitting .327 with 14 steals, 18 runs scored and 18 rbi’s.
