Less than 24 hours after a 19-5 drubbing at the hands of the Chicago Cubs, the Milwaukee Brewers bounced back to beat the Cubs 4-3.
Brewer Ryan Braun doubled home two runs in Milwaukee's 3-run 9th to bring the Brewers from behind. Braun had 3-hits, including a home run in the 6th. The win gave the Brewers two out of three in the series. They're 4-2 in Chicago against the Cubs this season.
The Brewers got a big scare in the 5th when Yovani Gallardo went down with what appeared to be serious knee injury. But he eventually jumped back up and continued to pitch.
Brian Shouse retired the final batter in the 8th inning and picked up the win. Eric Gagne worked the 9th for his 9th save.
The Brewers are in Houston to face the Astros tonight.
