The Milwaukee Brewers kicked off their 6-game road trip with a 6-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies in Denver.

Claudio Vargas allowed 6-runs in the first two innings, then settled down to hold the Rockies off the board through seven innings.  But the damage was done early and the Brewers dropped their 4th straight road game and 12th in the last 15 away from Miller Park.  The Brewers 21-33 road record is by far the worst among baseball's divisional leaders.

The Brewers still hold a 1-game lead on the Cubs in the National League Central after Chicago lost in Houston 2-1 in 10-innings.

Prince Fielder hit his 33rd home run and Ryan Braun his 21st for the Brewers in the loss.

Chris Capuano takes an 8-game losing streak into action tonight for the Brewers.  The Brewers are 0-13 in his last 13 appearances.
