Gabe Gross had quite a day in the Brewers 9-8 twelve-inning win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday at Miller Park.

Gross doubled twice, walked twice, stole a base and scored three runs, including the game winner in the 12th.  Gross scored in Gabe Kapler's game winning hit.

Immediately afterwards, Gross was sent to the Tampa Bay Rays for minor league pitcher Josh Butler.

Gross had been splitting time in centerfield with Gabe Kapler with Tony Gwynn Jr., on the disabled list and Mike Cameron serving his 25-game suspension.  But Gwynn is off the DL and back from his rehab assignment and Cameron is due back at the end of the month.

Gross was the odd man out with Kapler hitting over .380 and playing a good defensive centerfield.  Although swinging the bat batter of late, Gross was hitting just .209.
